Golden Isles
The Golden Isles are made up of barrier islands off the coast of Georgia. They are also part of the Sea Islands, a group of over 100 islands that extend from Georgia to South Carolina. The Golden Isles include four islands:
- St Simons Island
- Sea Island
- Jekyll Island
- Little St Simons island
Three of the four islands (St Simons, Sea and Jekyll Islands) offer resorts and attractions for visitors. While Little St Simons does not have any lodging, it is open for visitors and has many nature-themed attractions such as fishing and bird watching. St Simons is the most populated island, with 13,000 permanent residents. The islands offer many different activities, including nature tours, historic tours, birding, kayaking, fishing, golf, fine dining, shopping, and much more. There is truly something for everyone on Georgia’s Golden Isles!
